Minor Major

Definition

Students are required to complete a curriculum designated by another department apart from their first and the second majors.

A minor major is not considered a second major.

 

Eligibility

Students who have been registered for more than three semesters shall apply with the prescribed form early in the semester.
Students who pursue a minor major at a campus other than their home campus can only take such courses until they acquire the credits required for the minor major.

In the case of transfer students, only courses completed at the University may be approved as minor courses.

 

List of Applicable Departments

    Identical or similar departments of the first or second majors shall not be selected in pursuance of a minor major.

    Minor majors of the department/division/school that are not offered at the Sejong campus can be completed at the Seoul campus.

    In cases where identical or similar departments/divisions/schools are established on both the Seoul and Sejong campuses, students shall complete their minor major at the campus with which he/she is affiliated.

    Students applying for departments in the College of Education as their minor major must have their first major at the College of Education.
  5. However, for students admitted to the College of Education in the years 2006 and 2007, the student quota for a minor major is 10% of the department admission student quota, and for students admitted to the College from the year 2008, minor majors at the departments of the College of Education are not selected adhering to the abolition of the acquisition of the teacher certification system by the Ministry of Education.

    The minor major program is not offered at the College of Law, College of Medicine, College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy.

Application Periods

Early March (Spring Semester), Early September (Fall Semester)

 

Application Procedures

    Complete the application form.
  2. 2
    Submit the table of designated completed courses for the minor major of the applicable department.
  3. 3
    Get the confirmation seal of the head professor of the minor major department and the head professor of the affiliated department.

    Submit the application form to the administration office of the department/division/school.
