Contents

  • The first course cancellation review will be implemented before the beginning of each semester (during late February and late August) after the first registration period for all students, including newly admitted and transfer students.
  • The list of canceled courses will be notified at the KU portal system(Bulletin > Notice > Undergraduate schedule) after the first registration cancellation review.  Students who registered for canceled courses will be able to register for other courses during the course add/drop period.
  • The second registration cancellation review will be implemented after the course add/drop period.
  • The list of canceled courses will be notified at the KU portal system(Bulletin > Notice > Undergraduate schedule) after the second  registration cancellation review. The students will be able to register for other courses during the course registration period for students who registered for canceled courses.

Standards for Course Cancellation

Category Standards for Course Cancellation
General Subject Courses Less than 20 registered students
Major Subject Courses
Major subject courses will be canceled based on the entrance quotas:
  •  For departments with less than 40 entrance quotas: courses will be canceled if less than 7 students are registered.
  •  For departments with 40 ~ 60 entrance quotas: courses will be canceled if less than 10 students are registered.
  • For departments with more than 60 entrance quotas: courses will be canceled if less than 12 students are registered.

Teacher Education Courses
  • Same as the general subject courses (less than 20 registered students)
  • However, if only one class is offered, the course can remain open regardless of the number of students registered.
Deferment of Course Cancellation If a course meets the criteria for cancellation but is acknowledged for its specificity, cancellation of the course may be deferred.
